Leah Jamnicky RN

Ms. Jamnicky is a urology nurse coordinator at Toronto General Hospital , a member of the University Health Network in Toronto . During her 17 years of nursing experience Ms. Jamnicky has developed several patient education programs for patients with prostate disease and is in constant demand for lectures on prostate cancer awareness. She is a member of patient education programs at UHN and Princess Margaret Hospital , and a member of the faculty of the Bayer Institute for Health Care Communication. She is currently co-chair of the Urology Quality team at TGH.

Dr. Robert Nam MD FRCSC

Dr. Nam is currently a staff urologist at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences Centre in Toronto and an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Toronto . He has a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology, through the Surgical Scientist Program, with his thesis focusing on prostate cancer genetics.  His research interests include bioinformatics and the genetic epidemiology of prostate cancer.  His publications include papers describing the role of the androgen receptor gene, SRD5A2 gene and the hK2 protein in prostate cancer detection and progression. Dr. Nam has recently received the Canadian Urological Association scholarship for young investigators and has been funded by the NCIC for continual work in prostate cancer genetics.
